Strive. Achieve. Grow.

The Swiss Academy emerged from the two prominent educational companies Academia Group Switzerland and Sport Academy Zurich and offers a multilingual academic education meeting the highest quality standards with a focus on sports, dance, music and health. Our goal is to provide students with a holistic education that culminates in an internationally recognized university entrance qualification.

Welcome

"Welcome to Swiss Academy! We strongly believe in the individual potential and talent of our students and our ultimate goal is to enable excellence through passion, commitment and positivity. We build great athletes, musicians and people. We want our students to discover their goals and realize their own potential through learning and achievement. Our exceptional teaching and training staff provides a unique, positive and excellent educational experience. The Swiss Academy is the best decision you can make for your future."

Kind regards,

Dr. Ludovic Allenspach
CEO

‘Here at Swiss Academy, we believe that every child is unique, which is why we give every student a well-rounded learning experience tailored to them and their skills. We believe that the simple ‘head, hand, heart’ model first espoused by Swiss pedagogue Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi remains pivotal to a holistic education. That’s why our goal is to help our students develop over the long term, refining their academic and sporting abilities, promoting good health and encouraging personal growth. We believe that education continues beyond the classroom. Our students participate in a wide range of sporting, cultural and extra-curricular activities that reinforce what they learn through traditional teaching. This makes Swiss Academy the perfect environment for young people to fully develop their talents.’

Kind regards,

René Furrer
Chairman of the Board of Directors

School

Swiss Academy (K-12) comprises a Primary School (Years 1-6), a Senior School (Years 7-11) and a Sixth Form College (Years 12-13), together with a Kindergarten. Swiss Academy follows the Swiss and the English National Curriculum (Cambridge/ Pearson).

Early Years (Kindergarten)

Early Years (Kindergarten)

In our Kindergarten, children develop their reading, writing and numeracy skills as well as their decision making, learning and social competencies. Teachers work out a differentiated work and activities plan, which is based on the child’s strengths and talents.

Primary School

Primary School

The curriculum provides all students with the opportunities to acquire expertise in the subjects as well as developing their character, skills, critical thinking and leadership. Primary Grades follows the English National Curriculum, which is an internationally recognized and renowned curriculum, and the Swiss Curriculum.

Senior School

Senior School

In Grades 9 and 10 Swiss Academy follows the English (I)GCSE curriculum; the world‘s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16-year old. The curriculum is developed and examined by the University of Cambridge International Exam board and Pearson/ Edexcel and offers pupils a broad array of subjects from which to choose.

Sixth Form

Sixth Form

In Grades 11 and 12, students study International A-Levels; recognised and highly regarded around the world. Alongside the A level subjects it also offers an exciting range of customized courses including 2 sports and 2 music certifications/curriculums. The syllabuses develop a deep understanding of subjects and independent thinking skills.

SAT Test Center

Swiss Academy is authorized by the College Board as a PSAT and SAT testing center for the US entrance exams.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Swiss Academy Sports Curriculum

Sport offers challenges like no other field of learning and contributes to a holistic development. The Swiss Academy enables students to experience a wide range of movement specific to their age group, which initially trains their coordination skills to an optimum. Thanks to our specialized trainers and movement coaches, we can also unleash the individual and specific potential of each student by creating ideal conditions.

In order to give our students the best opportunity to develop, our program is divided into two phases, which go hand in hand and are well intertwined. (Sport in general/competitive sports)

In addition to athletic training, we attach great importance to mental, health and personal development.

Swiss Academy Music Curriculum

In order to enable a successful career, musical talent needs to be recorded as early as possible, given nurturing and targeted support and a lot of time for practice. Talent, willingness to perform and determination shall be supported for all musical talents. This is why we incorporate it into our curriculum from an early age and consolidate the musical skills and knowledge at all levels (Primary School, Senior School, Sixth Form) and in various forms (music lessons, instrumental lessons, choir, orchestra).

In order to give our students the best opportunity to develop, our program is divided into two phases, which go hand in hand and are well intertwined. (Music in general/instrument as main subject)

Advanced students are trained for their professional music studies as well as prepared for the respective entrance examinations. Swiss Academy hosts International Concerts and Masterclasses.

Swiss Academy Dance Curriculum

The earlier young dance talents are identified and intensively supported, the better the chances for a professional dance career.

In order to become a successful dancer, a great deal of time must be invested; experts assume a minimum of 20 lessons per week - we make this time available to young dance talents and their dance teachers, who are recognised by Danse Suisse, as part of our training.

Our school offers the ideal environment and creates optimal structures, but at the same time provides the necessary creative space for the development of each dance talent. The training goal of many young dancers is to prepare them for a secondary dance school or even to join a renowned ensemble abroad; we lay the foundation for this.
